The new McAfee VirusScan 2006 protects your computer from viruses and PUPs (”Potentially Unwanted Programs”—McAfee’s term for spyware) with minimal fuss. It downloads virus signatures daily and scans files on access. Independent labs certify it can detect and remove viruses; in our testing, it also effectively removed PUPs it found on our system and prevented the installation of new ones.
VS 2006 installs within McAfee’s Security Center, which replaces the Windows XP Security Center and provides access to support, including help wizards, e-mail support, discussion forums, and live 24/7 chat (free) or phone (paid) support. Besides the daily definition updates, the one-year subscription includes all program updates.
ICSA Labs has certified VS 2006 for virus detection and cleaning. Related products received certifications from Virus Bulletin and West Coast Labs, which haven’t yet tested this version. VS 2006 will scan on schedule, on demand, or on any access—just opening a folder triggers a scan of the files. ScriptStopper protection blocks scripts that manipulate files or the Registry, and WormStopper blocks suspicious e-mail activity, like too many messages in a short time or e-mails sent with too many recipients. Чем меня достал Dr.Web: вхожу предположим в локалку в офисе, ну предположим на сервер захожу и лежит там exe-шник в пару гигов и вот этот доктор начинает проверять занимая канал напроч, ну ладно делаю все что надо на сервере, закрываю окно и продолжаю работать и чувствую комп тормозит нафиг — оказывается он продолжает проверять тот двухгиговый файл, бесит меня такое поведение, в каспере такого нет. Ну и в целом не особо удобная оболочка...
Ну погаси спайдер. Или поставь его в режим проверки только при записи, а не smart.
И пользуйся таким файл-менеждером, который не открывает файлы при входе в директорию (чтобы иконки нарисовать — экая глупость). Фар не открывает :)
В режиме Smart спайдер проверяет файлы при чтении, если они не на локальном жестком диске. Жестоко — ну так иначе чайники умудрятся назапускать себе живности. А грамотному человеку спайдер вообще нафик не нужен.
хм, вопрос зачем — лучше пути где такие файлы хранятся поставить в исключения — если что-то к себе на фесткий диск сбросывать станешь, то все равно поймает при записи
